ONE HELLUVA SUMMER

The most grueling tour in motorsports has officially commenced – now with a schedule that packs 31 races in 31 straight days.

The details:

  • The 2026 edition of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour, which celebrates its 40th anniversary, kicked off at Brownstown Bullring on Tuesday.
  • The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals joins the Summer Nationals Late Models for 27 of their races before crowning a champion at the Prairie Dirt Classic.
  • Some of the biggest names in national Late Model racing built their careers on the Summer Nationals tour, including Bobby Pierce, Nick Hoffman, Tyler Erb, and Brandon Sheppard.
  • Reigning DIRTcar Summer Nationals Late Model champion Jason Feger joined "Pit Bull" to talk all things Hell Tour.

HIGH FIVE

Outlaws. High Rollers... And Kyle Larson. Rico Abreu beat them all at Eagle Raceway on Tuesday night, scoring a $55,555 payday.

BOBBY'S DREAM

Bobby Pierce had collected a trophy from every crown jewel event, except for one.

On Saturday, he completed that collection.

GROWING ROOT

Nick Root continues to climb the ladder in Northeast Modified racing, grabbing his first Big Block Modified Feature victory.

FINDING COMMON GROUND 

Three Alabama racetracks have come together to do some good for a local youth baseball team.

  • Hollis Speedway, Penton Raceway, and the Talladega Short Track are helping the team head to the USSSA World Series tournament in Florida.
  • The three tracks helped raise money by offering a special ticket that gave fans the chance to win a family four-pack to a big event at each track.
  • Hollis Speedway's promoter's son plays on the youth team.
