CAN HE BE STOPPED?
Bobby Pierce is on another historic run.
Since winning The Dream at Eldora Speedway, the two-time and reigning World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion has won six straight World of Outlaws events.
If he wins a seventh, it would be a new Series record.
This is the second time Pierce has won six straight races with the World of Outlaws. He and Darrell Lanigan are the only two to have accomplished the rare feat.
The details:
Pierce's six straight wins came at six different tracks – 141 Speedway, Ogilvie Raceway, I-94 emr Speedway, River Cities Speedway, Nodak Speedway, and Norman County Raceway.
His chance for a seventh straight World of Outlaws win will come at Stateline Speedway on Wednesday, July 8.
Pierce has 16 wins already this season and holds a 76-point lead over Nick Hoffman.
Jimmy Phelps, the promoter of Weedsport Speedway, rolled his No. 98H 358 Modified out of the shop on the track's property and wheeled it to Victory Lane Tuesday night.
