The Delaware Diamond Clash at Georgetown Speedway (May 13) continues to grow with Christopher Bell scheduled to make his Big Block Modified debut.

The details:

  • Bell will pilot the No. 62 Big Block Modified for Halmar-Friesen Racing.
  • This expands Bell's relationship with Stewart Friesen, after winning in the Halmar-Friesen No. 62 Truck at Bristol Motor Speedway.
  • The event will also be Bell's first appearance at Georgetown Speedway.

"Streaming has helped exposure but hurt in-person attendance. Big-money national tours are overshadowing local weekly racing, and that’s a long-term problem.

Tire rules are hurting the show more than helping it. Let teams have more freedom. Should dirt racing adopt stricter spending caps to level the playing field? Is dirt racing becoming too “professional” and losing its grassroots feel?"
